Curriculum Mathematics

SpexWorld! School has a budget facility and a simple spreadsheet and graphs to help pupils learn about budgeting, handling and managing money.

Pupils also become familiar with shapes, space and dimensions, proportion and symmetry as they design and furnish different shaped rooms.

Great introduction to Spreadsheet modelling.

Design & Technology

Design a school floor plan, choose the shape and size of the classrooms and add furniture.

With SpexWorld! School the pupil becomes a designer, making predictions, decisions and plans, and exploring the possibilities of the design. It is in 3D so they can take a virtual walk around the school to see for themselves how it looks

ICT Graphical Modelling

Ideal for Graphical Modelling; drag items into the plan, select, move, copy, paste and rotate to see how the different ‘graphical elements’ fit together.
Age

6 to 99 yrs! For all ages but designed for primary school use and lower secondary school.
Ease of use Intuitive and simple. SpexWorld! School is powerful but very easy to use and any school who uses Spex+ or SpexV2 will find the program particularly easy to integrate into their curriculum.

How does it work?

1. Choose from a selection of classrooms and set the sizes, or design your own floor plan.

Choose from a selection of single rooms.

Choose from a selection of multiple room layouts.

Design your own floor plan.

There are different classroom shapes

to choose from.

After a classroom shape is selected

you can alter the sizes

.

Or use the classroom room planner to design a school floor plan with classrooms of different shapes and sizes.

2. Choose items of furniture and drag these in to your floor plan.

Drag furniture into the room

Items of furniture are dragged

into the classroom, rotated and

moved into place.

3D view of the room.

There are lots of different views,

here is a 3D view of the room.

Side view of the room.

The whole school can be rotated to see different views, here is a view of two classrooms and a corridor.

3. Display the content of the design as a bar graph, pie chart, pictogram or spreadsheet.

A bar graph showing items in the room.
